Ok, for most people being able to control 6 iPods may be a little bit of overkill, but if you are installing one of those slick whole house audio systems, the MODE keypad by SpeakerCraft is worth looking into. Aside from the ridiculous amount of iPods it can control, the MODE keypad also can control SpeakerCrafts own jukebox server, AM/FM and XM radio. The only feature I don't see that some of the multi-zone audio systems I have played with offer is an intercom. Pricing has yet to be announced (as well as availability), but if you are interested you or your contractor can hit up SpeakerCraft for more details.

Opened up my email this afternoon and low and behold what did I see, yet another phishing email. Normally I just shake my head, delete them and move on, but this one caught my eye. Well at least the ads did. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw ad after ad for identity theft protection and phishing protection. All before I banished the email to my spam folder. I knew Google's ability to serve targeted ads based on content was good, but I didn't think it was this good. Click the pic for the full scale version.

So you want to give the latest Firefox 2 release candidate a spin, but don't want it to mess with your current Firefox install/profile? (Which is a good idea as their may still be some data eating bugs that may ruin your day.) No worries, keeping the to installs completely separate is easy as pie. You just need a few minutes and a willingness to use the Linux command line (don't worry if you are not familiar with the command line, we are going to walk through this step by step). While I am going to do this from the perspective of an Ubuntu 6.06 user, this how to should work for pretty much any Linux distro assuming that you already have all the required dependencies (you will know if you don't when you get to the end of the how to and the new Firefox install won't load and complains about dependencies).
