One final bit of Flash fun for this Friday afternoon. I give you "South Park Create-A-Character". A neat little Flash app that lets you design your very own South Park-esque character. Especially fun if you are a fan of the irreverent animated series. It is a great way to spend the final minutes of your work day. The only feature lacking is export/save functionality, though you can overcome this with a little shift+print screen magic (any screen capture method you prefer).

If you are looking for some flash fueled fun to help you ease into your weekend goofing off, then look no further. Games1.org has an archive going of flash games that have made it to Digg's front page. While some are better than others, these are all high quality productivity killers. My personal favorite of the 40 or so games is Zwok, a Worms/Scorched Earth clone.

We've all seen shopping search engines before. So when an email landed in my inbox inviting me to take a look at ugenie, I was expecting just another cookie-cutter shopping search engine. Fortunately I decided to take a look anyways. If you are searching for just one item, ugenie is not that different than other shopping search engines (though when comparing prices it does take into account shipping, taxes, and any coupons it knows about). Where it truly shines though is its ability to "bundle" multiple items to find the best combination of stores to buy from. Another nice option ugenie offers is the ability to import your Amazon wish-list to create search "bundles".  My only complaint with ugenie is that its search defaults to including used items, forcing you to change your search parameters if you want only new items (it may just be a personal "thing" but I am not crazy about buying anything used that I cannot inspect first). I would have liked the search results to either default to new or show you a side by side comparison of how much each option would cost you (new or used). With the holiday shopping season gearing up, you may want to give ugenie a visit. It may just save you some cash.
