It's not much of a secret that I am a Google fanboy. I love pretty much all of Google's services, so I was excited to see Google Spreadsheet. It looks (it is in limited testing, so we will have to wait to try it out) like a nice web based spreadsheet app with MS Excel and CSV compatibility (I hope they add Open Office file compatibility, since I left MS office years ago). I'll have to wait and see before I pass final judgment, but I don't see this being a desktop spreadsheet app replacement though (if you have an office suite installed anyhow, why not use that spreadsheet app - plus what do you do when you are not connected to the net), but rather a nice extension of your office suite while you are on the go and may not have access to your spreadsheet app of choice.
Hopefully this is the first in a line of office apps coming from the brains at Google, I would love to have a virtual Google Office at my finger tips to use from what ever computer I may get stuck on while traveling. Having plugins for the major office suites that allows saving to your Google online file storage (which the sneak peek says exists) would also be very cool too.
